Traffic and weather were not great, and sadly we witnessed a 12 vehicle fatal accidnet which slowed progress (thankfully the kids were asleep). Traffic was so bad, we decided to take the back routes. We took some little site seeing breaks in Chester (roman ruins, medieval walls, tudor houses, victorian clocks) and Liverpool (liver building, where the management of titanic's planning was handled) albert docks, the cavern club, and penny lane. Then we got to our hotel in lancaster at about midnight. Off to glasgow today! Thanks for the positive thoughts
