How so? Biden's policies don't differ that widely from Obama's, so no one would have had to do a "makeover" ideologically. I don't remember anyone here trashing Biden... in fact, gadzuux said Biden was his first choice in the primaries.

Nah. The Dems have been throwing this one around for months, but Obama's poll numbers haven't budged beyond two points in either direction. Not that I really believe the polls, but they're all we have to work with right now.

It's a good point to press, as they're finally doing. The piece I saw showed it was one of the things people "took away" from the Dem. convention, so it stuck with THEM, at least.

Uh huh. Not joining the sisterhood of traveling pants with this choice. Course by some on here it's more about the brotherhood of traveling panting.

<rolling eyes> I can't tell you how pissed off those comments make me. If the women chimed in with how hot Obama is or anyone else it would get the Rock Star, Idol remarks.

Whatever, I'm so irritated with McCain and most all of the threads I'm officially now ON the Obama bandwagon. McCain has gone insane.

Actually you can. There is a right way to do things, and a wrong way. It is wrong to claim that McCain follows the party line. He above almost anyone else, has differed greatly in the past and by this choice of veep, intends to do so in the future.

I don't think McCain is a crazed war monger.

I don't think McCain closes himself off from the outside world, and turns a deaf ear.

And that is just the beginning of it. To say that McCain is like Bush because they both are Pro-Life, and for less government, and that they support the 2nd amendment etc... that is fluff.

There are things going on here and in the rest of the world that McCain will directly impact should he be POTUS, things that have NOTHING to do with those standard old differnces in Conservative vs. Liberal issues.

To say that McCain is just like Bush seems to suggest that the speaker of such statement is going to vote democrat no matter WHO is on the ticket. That's not change either.

<<<You can't change things if you support doing the same major things as your predecessor.>>>

"the same major things" is a very general and vague...almost tired phrase. It has a nice ring to hear it, but it really has no meaning behind it.

Someone, SHOW me this 90%. No one has. No one will. It isn't true.

I don't think Obama's quote about the Hillary supporters "they need to just get over it" would apply to your frustrations here Lisa? ;p only kidding.

    Okay then, I apologize for KIDDING.... K I D D I N G around about her physical appearance.

What are the "rules" these days? By the way, there have been MANY women discuss how young and attractive Obama is, and how old and stodgy McCain is.

Let's be reasonalbe. Lisa you wouldn't vote for ANY GOP candidate anyway would you?

Lisa and I think a lot a like on this subject. I'm answering this, but for me, not for her.

I was serious when I started my thread asking about the candidates. McCain just continues to fall short for me. His stunt this morning was a bit of the last nail in the coffin to me.

Not only would I vote for a GOP, I have in the past.

Annoys me more than I can say here. It sounds like: Yuck, yuck, it was just a JOKE there, lady, when I grabbed your boob at work. Can't you take a joke?

    Fair enough.

I guess that saying McCain has lost his mind made me wrongly assume otherwise. My fault.

Ursula, why is it a "STUNT"? Becuase you don't agree with a woman on the GOP ticket? No? Then why is it a stunt? Because he is making a grab at Hilllary supporters? No? Why then? This lady is EASILY qualified for VP. Check her out.

Picking a woman ensures that his fans can claim "CHANGE" all they want. It is a popular saying this days, all the cool kids are saying it.

And yes, it is a stab in the dark to get any straggling pro-woman voters who really think it is time for a woman to be in office.

I had a momentary lapse of memory, forgetting that disagreeing with the "old school LP'ers" isn't allowed.

I called the lady "hot" and to you that's like physcailly assaulting someone? Wow.

But my dear, dear man. I would gladly see a woman in office. Considering we're only decades behind other countries in voting in qualified women. It has to be the right woman, though.
