The area we live in is often nice through November and typically the rains kick in in December. it's funny, some years we'll have 70 degree weather in early December and some years it can get into the 40's. I've never even been to Yosemite. My car seems to have a mind of it's own. Every time I get into it, it only wants to go south...about 350 miles.

My friends at work say about the same. We're pretty centrally located, with both the Bay Area and Sacramento being less than an hour away but heavy traffic can really add to that time. Tinkeroon and I would love to have you but would also hate to see you lose a lot of your vacation to travel time. You've got close to 2 years to plan this and have a standing offer from us but we'll understand if you make other plans.

Lisann22 is right, you have a few logistics to work out to maximize your vacation time but our home is yours for as long as you want, laundry and all. There are quite a few LP'ers within that hour radius too. Livermore has a bunch as well as Sacramento. I'm sure if you post a meet, you'll be pleasantly surprised by how many will show up. I'm pretty fluid in that whole section between SF and SD really, I guess we'll be leaving SF on the 22nd/23rd depending and want to be arriving in SD on the 30th more than likely, so we have around 7-8 days to make the journey with stops along the way, I'm hoping that should leave us with time for visiting etc along the way..
