What most CM's know about Meg are the letters to the cast in Eyes and Ears or the letters that are attached to something sent to our homes for some reason. Beyond that I would expect that 99% of the CM's have never seen the woman face to face.

That really is pretty unique to Disney.

Meg never had a ops role at Disney before becoming Prez. Karl had never worked in any capacity with a cruise line before being handed DCL.

Staggs is a career strategic planner/money man. And spent exactly NO time in any P&R position before heading the whole division.

Think about that and translate it into your own lives. Would your company move you into a postion heading a division you had no experience in whatsoever?

And I'm guessing no one here works where they'd suddenly find themselves running a multi-billion dollar unit.

Does any of this make sense to you?

No, Disney owns 39.78%. They may even be the majority shareholder.

Again I ask, why does Anaheim need to worry? There doesn't seem to be a problem here.

And isn't it odd, mysterious even, how Disney failed to publicize this move at all? Very, very weird to do that to Crofton.

What power? I think what he's affirming is what I've been asking all along - how much power does she really have? The answer is not much. Assuming he's right, Meg is mostly a figurehead.

I just reread Al's latest from this morning. This whole Crofton thing seems to be much ado about nothing. And if she does start cutting the budget on paint in Anaheim and reduces staffing or closes Mr. Lincoln in favor of a Duffy meet n' greet, there's an entire army of insiders with contacts at websites to launch an offensive.

I can't imagine they would risk that type of bad PR during the buildup and launch of Cars Land, Buena Vista Street and DCA 2.0, it just wouldn't be wise.

Much ado about nothing, it seems to me. Yet another harmless Floridian who will never leave the swamp to bother with that little park out west.

Can we get them to do that anyway? I think DL APers getting riled up about Meg would be a good thing for WDW, too...

Constance and TP are killing me. Did you guys see this quip from Al?

"What the Anaheim team will have to get through, however, is the upcoming goodwill trip Meg has to make to Disneyland to pander to the locals at the park with the little, tiny castle."

    Hilarious.
