But he is high up there enough to lobby for some new stuff that I am sure he wants to build. Anyway...bedtime. Woke up at 4:30 today, and spent all day in a courtroom. (I should get used to that....) See you all tomorrow!

He is a visionary businessman, though. No doubt about that.

The State would also like to offer the evidence that EPCOT Explorer does get emotional during the American Adventure, or IllumiNations, to correct that earlier remark.

No cameras, though. The design offices, workrooms and shops were full of Little Mermaid. Set pieces, characters, working animation, etc. It all looked very good-- very top drawer. What was interesting is that there were two of almost everything. Two exact copies. I finally asked if there were "extra" parts being made, and they said that they were fabricating both attractions at once, and both were, indeed, identical. DCA's will open first (as we know), so one set was further along. But in many cases there would be two sets of something in the pipeline. (P.S. There were also a lot of parts of Cars at various stages of development, too.)

If you know that you're going to put it in another park in a year or two anyway, it's probably cheaper to make all the figures and sets twice, and put them in storage until they are needed.

However there are several AAs for Mermaid that are being fabricated in-house at WDI due to the complexity required. Garner is doing the lion's share though including the Under The Sea sequence with the entire fish band.
