They may move their arms back and forth, or twist on a base, but nothing too complicated. It's fairly simple stuff, but is enough to bring the scene to life. When they put dozens of these figues in a single scene for Under The Sea, I assume you won't even notice how simple they are. In Monsters, it's a bit more of an issue, since there are only a couple in each scene.
