As in nothing for WDW is planned that far out anymore. They plan in five year chunks and, even that, is subject to great changes at the whims of execs, or economic conditions. <<i truly believe help is on the way>> It's not. Wish I could be more hopeful, but I am being honest with you. Iger recently said that he intended for investment in P&R (with the exception of the new resort in Shanghai) to drop conciderably after about 2014 when so many things currently in the pipeline are done. So when people talk about second and third phases to F-Land at MK or second phase at DCA or major projects at EPCOT and DAK and E-Tix at DL etc ... well, I just say go to the source. Sure, Iger lies every day of his life. But I don't he's lying here and that you'll see billions of additional investment flowing into the parks (especially WDW, which exists these days almost soley to sell timeshares and resort nights).

As much as I think that we won't be seeing anything built...I also think The Weatherman has NO IDEA what he's talking about, and we could hopefully see the opposite.

Not that that's a bad thing but for the guys like us who've seen same old same old for 30 years, its eventually going to loose its charm. not to be pessimistic or anything

Much more likely: 2-3 years from now Disney brings back HISTA and calls it something new or back because of guests requests. The fact something could happen doesn't mean it is remotely plausible that it will. And this is one case where I'd bet strongly that it won't.

He knows exactly what his company's plans are for the forseeable future. When is the last time Disney truly surprised anyone with an announcement for WDW? Seriously? When? Decades ago. Don't say the F-land project because details had been leaking and floating out for a long time ... no one (myself included) took them that seriously because the original project was going to cost upwards of three quarters of a billion dollars, the type of funds Disney doesn't simply invest in parks that are cash cows. ... So what happened? Disney's capacity issues finally forced people above the clueless wonders that run WDW to take action, but they did by slicing over half the project away (with more to come). That isn't a concern at say EPCOT ... You aren't going to have Disney simply spring a wonderful surprise on you unless higher prices, lower quality ... oh and more timeshares are what you consider wonderful surprises.

But right now, if you want WDW to improve, going to WDW because it's what you always do isn't the way to go.

The new plush, pins, shirts, vinylmation etc that the little brats will scream to Mommy and Daddy to buy for them. With the attraction looker smaller/cheaper than I first imagined it to be, the ROI on this one could be huge.

But that doesn't change the fact that the place has stagnated and lost a lot of what made it "Disney" during the past decand of neglect.
