    That's what my completely left-field guess would be. It is scary if this "just happened" and he had been taking care of himself well, because that makes it seem more likely that anyone we know who is 50 or older could die the same way at any moment.

    I've been very saddened over the years regarding his adult life but the man never had a chance at normal. Doesn't make anything right but still sad nonetheless.

    I will miss his HUGE ONE OF A KIND TALENT and the many years of enjoyment of dancing to his music, thumping it in my first cars, singing at the top of our lungs at family parties and grooving down the soul train lines...

    RIP Michael.

    I think a lot of people who weren't fans of MJ don't understand his contribution to popular music and culture worldwide. Because of the new models for the recording industry there will likely never be another pop star the likes of MJ, Elvis, Mariah or the Beatles in our lifetime. His death is huge. We are witnessing the end of an era in pop music.
