Honestly, I doubt if it's a much of a mess as it appears to be. There are so many conflicting reports and much speculation. They're probably all mostly wrong.

Has anyone heard the news that his death may be ruled a homicide? Very interesting.

They didn't. Which is not to say they haven't viewed or seen him. It just's that he was not at Hollywood Hills Monday night because he's been right where he is now since before that time. And he's not at Hollywood Hills. The only time he's spent at Hollywood Hills is right afer the Coroner released the body. He was embalmed again, then spirited away.

"Now it's being reported he's in Berry Gordy's spot at Forest Lawn until all this is resolved."

    Nope. See above.

    "What a mess."

Well, in the sense that no one will take him, yes. Forest Lawn is done with Joe Jackson, so that mess is over with.

And here's some further clarification as to why they have to deal with Joe Jackson. Since Jackson's will omitted any instructions about the body, it is treated as an intestate situation, meaning as if there was no will as it relates to the remains. Therefore, it falls to the next of kin, which really is Paris Jackson, the 11 year old daughter. Since she's not old enough, it then goes to her guardian, the mother, Katherine Jackson. Katherine can't deal with it, so to Joe the responsibility falls, and he's just been an ass.

As for what's next, the state routinely grants permission for private property burials, so what they've said on the issue so far is no big deal. It comes down to the local officials. In the past, Santa Barbara has expressed much frustration over Neverland and the unwanted traffic it brings, which is why no cemetery wants him. As others have said elsewhere, Neverland is in a very rural spot. Two lane road access, all that, it's not unlike having this big garish place in the middle of Mayberry. But, dumber things have happened, they can always change their minds. If they did however, I wouldn't be surprised if the residents there filed for an injunction as fast as they could.

Of course, Graceland is located down a private drive from a pretty major thoroughfare. For Neverland, they'd have to widen and pave the access road and set up parking (and shops, of course) across from the gates.

Does the property outside the gates butt-up against neighbors or is it wide-open spaces?

I just think it's feasible and would be a huge moneymaker for the family and businesses (hotels, restaurants, etc.) in the surrounding areas.

(Hey, cut me some slack, eh? I live in the Entertainment Capital of the World! ;-)

Why would it be Paris and not her older brother?

It's all up to Katherine and Joe Jackson.

Thanks again SPP! Its very interesting to hear all of the drama lol. I still find it strange to be getting all this info when very little of it has been reported in other places.

And agree, Joe Jackson is just an ass!! Sadly, I had a few people like him in my family, so I can relate ;). BTW, did anyone hear about Joe Jackson suing AEG (the company responsible for Jacksons tour and owner of Staples Center) over the memorial service??? I heard that in a news program or maybe Entertainment Tonight. Will go and see if I can find it on the internet, but if true, seriously what's dudes deal?? It just sounds like another money scheme.

He does sound like a grade A, ASS!!!
