Some reports are that he's in a coma. That sounds to me like machines are keeping him "alive" until his family all has their time with him. Again, I'd love for TMZ to be wrong and for the guy to pull through. He's the parent to three children, if for no other reason.

I think he had an odd attraction to children, but feel with Neverland Ranch he was just trying to give them an idealized childhood he never had. With all the investigations by folks who truly wanted to put him in jail, they never were able to come up with anything that would stick. I think the source of the rumors likely were people seeing an opportunity for a big payday. I know I could be wrong, but I sure hope I'm not.
