My statement implied the parents who accused MJ of abuse were looking for a big payday. Unfortunately the first time someone accused him he bought their silence to save his career from (in my mind) unfounded allegations. I have no beef with the Santa Barbara police and do not think THEY were in it for any personal gain. I personally believe Michael was innocent and always will.

One of my prized possesions is a recording of the reunion concert he did with his brothers a few years ago, before all the trial stuff. He still had it, and it was a spectacular performance. I'll really miss you, Captain EO.

Originally Posted By SpokkerJones "My statement implied the parents who accused MJ of abuse were looking for a big payday." There is no evidence that Michael Jackson molested those kids. There is also no evidence that those parents were just looking for big pay days. If you're giving Michael Jackson the benefit of the doubt, there is no reason not to give the plaintiffs the benefit of the doubt as well. The fact is these kinds of cases are very difficult to prove or disprove and are often based on he said, she said type stuff. Michael Jackson has, however, admitted on TV to sleeping with children in a non-sexual way and declared that he would kill himself if there were no such thing as children. I can't see how anyone can defend that.

At least not until one of the kids is an adult and writes a book... He was still without a doubt the greatest entertainer of his time. P.S. The FIRST parent making the accusation certainly was looking for cash... MJ paid 20 million.

I work in protection services, and I have found it hard to come to terms with the allegations, and reconcile my opinions. But right now I am focusing on the artist, one who I will miss forever.

I guess this is just the start of the media circus that will continue for days/weeks now. Either way this is very sad news and I agree that this is the closest thing to Diana dying that I can remember.
