I sipped my coffee, and enjoyed waking up as i watched the stream of people go by. Not crowded yet, or at least a little less crowded being that it was early in the morning. I loved the design for the little coffee refill area. No soda, just coffee, the way it should be for american workers. I wondered why i had never sat there before, but it was wonderful. As i stared at the people passing by, they would talk oblivous to anyone being around, and i heard some of the most personal and funny things i had heard in a while. It reaffirmed my belief that people are just as crazy, if not... in reality... more crazy than me.

I can't imagine that it would be any worse than the walled in feeling currently felt in overly cramped Adventureland. It will be a delicate balancing act to get it right to be sure.

That just seems more intelligent than ripping out antique structures, so that people can stand shoulder to shoulder. If you do that they will have nothing left to see, but people standing shoulder to shoulder. The architecture of the fifties, or anytime pre-computers, is so much more interesting than the new unimaginative structures that the hacks of today design with their CAD programs. At least what they design for big-paying companies.

More people means more money! Just cuz more crowds means a worse experience for you & me is no reason to go off and try to keep people away!

It all depends I guess on whether they reclaim the current patio area for indoor seating. The Riverbelle Terrace as it exists now is already a two story building - with office space located on the second level. >Is it possible that the F! viewing is >just to help guests see the show better, >not another dessert buffet thing? No. I'm certain that those high priced dinner packages they will sell are already being counted on to pay for the refurbishment. The good news is though, that because this is a profit center, they will be able to get away with spending more money on the project. If it even comes close to matching the quality of the last restaurant refurb (that being rancho) than everything should be fine.

They weren’t built to last forever so inevitably they are going to need a major overhaul. They aren’t the finest things that Disney has ever built so I see no real loss in ripping them out and replacing them. This, of course, assumes that what replaces them will be far better than what is there now. “The architecture of the fifties, or anytime pre-computers, is so much more interesting than the new unimaginative structures that the hacks of today design with their CAD programs.†Oh, I don’t know about that. Have you seen the new stuff at Animal Kingdom: http://www.laughingplace.com/L otion-View-144-6.asp The architecture at Disneyland Paris easily blows DL out of the water, in my opinion.

Intentions or not, the concept is to think before destoying uniqueness and collectibility. I so much prefer the real wood of Disneyland to the present day goo that's used to build things at other Disney parks, don't you?

Funny, I always associate Disney parks with the artificial and the fake. Not saying that Disney's buildings aren't without craftmanship and artistic merit. I just wouldn't qualify Disneyland as a place that showcases real materials.

They all have beautiful elements (well, maybe not DCA or WDSP.) Even DL has it's share of fake goo... you can't be saying that Sleeping Beauty Castle is ugly, can you?

I've noticed some grumblings about Disney making more space for Fantasmic viewing, but they wouldn't do it if there wasn't a demand for it! That area of the park has the worst congestion problems during Fantasmic, so I'm glad to hear the rumors that things will be changing for the better.
