I believe Dave was just commenting on the absurdity of people being so negative about debate because some people (weak-minded IMHO) might be offended. <<I know Dave well. I really like Dave and for that very reason I'm not going to comment further!!!>> I know Dave as well. I really like Dave as well ... but I'll keep commenting so long as there is something I feel worth commenting about.

And women are the worst, I swear at least 75% of them tinkled on the toilet seat and left it there. If I knew where they lived............

I suppose that although Disney is not as important, because I love the parks, I have the same passion. I get angry at social workers, civil servants and politicans that allow things to slip. I also get angry at Disney management and fans who do likewise. At DL, while not perfect, seems to have less problems. Hence a lighter board. Aso more people are local, so they allow more critique and are not that upset if they have 1 bad experience. For most on the WDW boards, we have long journies collectively, and it is a more expensive experience. SO some people are dazzled by the scale and may not notice the little things, others do and are offended at wdw taking advantage.

Thats not to say we should always look at the park in such a negative way either, as there are many people for who a trip to WDW is a once in a life time trip and I think we should not forget that when some visit annually or are in a position too, and some who are fortunate to only live a few miles away. If we like the way WDW is operated or not, we should still apreciate having the option to visit so often, and shouldn't take that for granted, even if the standards have dropped. Thanks to users like 999 and UKFan who have gone out to defend this thread and get it back on topic. Despite the negative feedback to this I am still excited to be going and nothing said in this thread has put me of going. You may be able to get Christmas events for free at the other Parks and Resorts but the standards are not so great. So I have no problem spending a bit extra to enjoy a stunning fireworks display, Christmas stage shows and a parade. If you can name me another Resort that is offering what Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party is offering on either 16th or 21st for the same standard but free, I would be glad to cancel my trip.

Thank you. It's really hurtful to be made to feel like a spec of dust when you are only trying to voice an opinion. <Thanks to users like 999 and UKFan who have gone out to defend this thread and get it back on topic. > You are quite welcome. I wasn't kidding about the trip report. I would really like to hear your take on it all.

I have NEVER attempted to make anyone feel like a spec of dust for voicing their opinions, and I feel very safe in speaking for Dave because I know he isn't that type of person either. Folks need to understand when someone is attacking an opinion, they aren't attacking the person's humanity. It really gets old when people can't seperate the two. You can think someone's idea is idiotic without thinking the person is an idiot.

Seen it four times now. But I like all the Cirque shows. Best I've seen is Love at the Mirage in Las Vegas. I also really liked Mystere too. <<Also have tickets for the Blue Man Group who I know are fantastic as I've watched them twice in Vegas before.>> I'm afraid to state how much I hate Blue Man and don't get why folks like them, but I'll just shut my yap and say 'enjoy the show!' <<< You are quite welcome. I have never seen DLP at night (hotels and Village, but not the park) because of the time of year when I've gone. When the place closes at 7 and the sun is out until 9:30 it makes it tough!

Was here is Chicago forever - finally went to seeif after many people toldme how great it was.It would have been a very good 20 minute show - after that, I was bored out of my gourd ! Glad to see someone else thought so too ! Now I don't care for Cirque though either - just not my style ( too clown like / mimey for my tastes ) - although I do think the Love show would be worth a look see.

I'm hoping Fantaillusion will also be performing as I have never seen this light parade before due to usually skipping peak seasons. The Studios believe it or not is also quite nice when the sun goes down.
