You'll love it and it's normally not oppressively hot either...

Just wanted to mention, you don't need to waste time during MVMCP on dinner. You can make dinner reservations for 5 PM or so inside the park & you won't miss any of the party.

I think that the poster was looking for honesty, whether or not it was postive.

DLR is my "home" park and the only thing that we don't get there during Christmas is the hot chocolate and the cookie-everything else is INCLUDED in the price of admission.

If we had something like Epcot here & a water park like Typhoon Lagoon, I'd be a happy camper. WDW can keep the rest.

Although, I'm not too sure I'd be happy with the raise in admission price (WDW is sooooo expensive) or the increase in crowds. ;D

As far as negative comments on a subject, I'm actually welcoming them in this case because we aren't going to the MVMCP because of the expense and I'm happy to see opinions that say it's not worth it. I feel like I'm not missing anything (much).

Christmas is confined to areas of each park, so a MK main street is nice but that's about all. AK has little decorations but that's supposedly because of the Animals. World showcase, candle light procession, lights of winter all good but the dancing osborne light show blew me away. We went late and stayed quite late and I wanted to stay longer. MVMCP is not a must but in truth neither is park hopping.

I don't know if it's been mentioned, but if you can get to Epcot's Candlelight Processional I would definitely go. You can either take your chances in line or get a dinner package that gets you a preferred ticket for no additional price (but you obviously have to pay for the dinner!). If you're on the dining plan, you can use dining coupons for the dinner package as well. We went to Alfredo's last year (no longer there but there are other options)then got a sticker to go in the reserved line and LOVED the show. Awe inspiring!!
