I have experienced every attraction in FFF, multiple times. There was no discomfort. The rides are no more compact than anything in Fantasyland.

I completely agree. There are other rides (Gadget's Go-Goaster, Mullholland Madness, anything with over-the-shoulder restraints, occasionally Space) that I have problems fitting in comfortably, but the seats in all of FFF are grown up-sized. Yes, the attractions themselves may be aimed at the kids, but they are big enough to fit adults comfortably.

oc_, I'm 6'1" and 195#, none of the Flicks rides were cramped. And actually, Flicks Fliers was down right roomy. You want cramped? Ride Pooh in the second or third row...smallest leg room in the largest ride vehicles ever, odd.

    >>>By the way .... rides, shows, exhibits, ... they can all fall under one word: Attraction.<<<

Sorry, Flicks Fun Faire as a whole is an attraction but those dressed up carny rides are, RIDES. But enjoy your opinion, we are all entitled to one.

    Huh?

It's not a discussion of "opinion" ... just a simple explanation of the English language .. and that 'ride' and 'attraction' are one in the same. That's all.

While an attraction can be in the form of a ride, not all rides are attractions.

If Disney wants to put minimal theming on a carnival ride and call it an attraction, that's their schtick. And possibly your opinion.

And just as an example, the Flicks Fliers Attraction at DCA, is the exact same thing as the Balloon Race Ride at Knott's Berry Farm.

Or for the more simple minded, "You can put lipstick on a pig, but it's still a pig"

I'm just trying to state the universal meaning of the word 'Attraction' .. and you're off on some silly little tangent.

We are not arguing whether the Attractions in Flicks Fun Fair can be thought of in the same breath of some of their finer, better, other Offerings. I'm in agreement with you. And why I hardly walk into that portion of DCA.

You can read anywhere online you want .. whether it's a Six Flags park .. or DisneySea in Tokyo ... the word 'Attraction' and 'Ride' are universally speaking, the same. And both words are used to convey the same thing - Amusement Park offerings.

    Mission Tortilla
    Boudin Bakery
    Screamin'
    Muppet Vision
    Main Street Cinema
    Dumbo Flying Elephants
    Innoventions
    Space Ship Earth
    Expedition Everest
    Blue Sky Cellar

They are all generally, universally, classified as Attractions. We can say 'ride' too.

    Though.....
We wouldn't call Mission Tortilla a 'ride' .. we don't call Screamin' an exhibit ... we don't call Jungle Cruise a 'show' .... Disney has made it easy for us .. with one general word - Attraction.

Now .. if we want to challenge certain 'Attractions' to whether they are "Qualified Disney Offerings" ..which is what you're saying .. then that's separate.

You sort of alluded to it, but just to make things ridiculously clear -

All Disney rides are attractions. Not all attractions are rides. Theater shows are attractions, but they are not rides. So to say that the word are interchangable is not correct. But then that's just being picky . . .

And TMICHAEL, you can call the rides in Flick's Fun Fair anything you want. That doesn't change the fact that Disney still considers them attractions, theming or no.

Should I have my Disney fan card revoked because I've never ridden anything in Flick's? The area is pretty to look at but there is absolutely compelling about the area in terms of attractions to me.

Neither have I, but as an adult without kids, why would I? I don't ride Dumbo or Casey Jr either. I guess you should probably take my fan card away too!

Not that there isn't a place for these types of rides at Disney parks - I just think they should be few and far between - not clustered into an entire "land" that only appeals to children, or those with small children. Flick's should have been designed with a dark ride that could appeal to more than just the toddler set.

Now you have attractions like Mermaid coming on line. And with its appeal to all ages, there's hope that perhaps Disney along with Imagineering are getting back on track with attraction design.

Not so fast. Isn't there a similar kids area at DisneySea themed to The Little Mermaid?

Not at all. But I also second the recommendation to try out Francis's Ladybug Boogie. It's a fairly unique attraction (not just a dressed up carny ride) and actually a lot of fun.

As for the others, except for the fact the Tuck 'n Roll's is the sloooooooowest bumper cars I've ever experienced, they are basically like any other comparable attractions. No need to ride them if you don't want to.

Guest Request = John Lasseter's response to Eisner's question of how he liked DCA was "There's nothing here for my kids to do."

Eisner: "Oh yeah I guess you're right."

    Idiot
