Stick around World Showcase after the Illuminations crowd clears out. So nice to walk around and enjoy the outsides of the buildings.
Old Key West at Christmastime... Not only are the restaurant and check-in buildings decorated, but many OKW guests (including me) decorate the balconies of their vacation homes.

Uncle Orville in the Carousel of Progress.

Flying out of the Darling's bedroom on Peter Pan. Everyone talks about London (which is very cool), but it is that first scene that lets you know you are in for something special.

Cannonballs hitting the water in the opening scene of Pirates.

The back side of the falls on Jungle Cruise.

The Heffalumps and Woozles room on Pooh.

The dog in the Graveyard Scene on Haunted Mansion.

    'Blastoff' on Space Mountain.

Going 'Under the Sea' on Voyage of the Little Mermaid.

    The queue for Star Tours.

When you see the vertical white line spread apart before going into the shaft on Tower of Terror.

The countdown on Rock N Roller Coaster.

    The opening music to Fantasmic.

The smell of Rome burning on Spaceship Earth (previously mentioned).

The fireworks scene in El Rio del Tiempo.

The butterfly cage sequence in JIYI.

Gary Sinese in the intro to Mission Space (sorry, I just LOVE it).

School Bread in the bakery at Norway.

The first look you get at the loading area in 'Dinosaur'. OK... so it looks cooler than it really is. It is still a great moment.

Seeing a giraffe on the Safari.

Rising into the mist on Kali River Rapids.

The gorillas on the Pangani Trail.

Surprises on the less used Discovery Island trails.

Crossing the bridge from Ol' Man Island to the Foodcourt at Dixie Landings (POR).

Your first sight of the MK coming across the Seven Seas Lagoon on the ferry.

Catnapping in a rocker on the porch at Crockett's Tavern in Fort Wilderness.

Zipping around Fort Wilderness in a golf cart.

Crumb... I could go on forever and I know I've already gone on for too long.

There are SO MANY great small moments at WDW.

Yeah! And don't forget about the little bird in the wheel inside the Windmill on Tom Sawyer island. If you blink as its turning you might miss it!

and for me- who just is not a Pooh fan at all ( I know you are all stunned) - I do like the concept of Heffalumps and Woozles...and the one time I rode that ride, it was pretty cool --

OK, so it's you that everyone who checks out their golf cart at Mike's Bike Barn is warned about. It all makes sense now. I'm not surprised.

Also, I noticed on this last trip that SE no longer has the mist on your down backwards toward the end of the ride. Very sad!

I still love the Mexico mist as mentioned above :) That whole first scene next to the restaurant with the Mayan temple and giant stone head and passing through the misty hallway I always love that :) I also love Jeremy Iron's voice on SSE and loved Kronkite as well - they're both intense yet somehow soothing at the same time.

I LOVE the music playing in ToT queue...so cool and spooky. the sounds of magic page has a lot of it but the one I really want is only like 10 seconds on that site as the very beginning to the complete ride audio walkthrough :-\

I like the little weird hand symbol Steven Tyler makes when he says "Wait a minute....I love that idea!" me and my father still make that symbol on our foreheads for the picture through the take off heh.

As I mentioned in my original posts smells on the rides always get to me but one of the most distinct I forgot to mention was the Alien portion of the GMR! Is it just me or does that scene have the most unique smell?? Like it's like what you'd imagine a spaceship with a little acid drooling alien problem to smell like. I've only smelled that smell there but occasionally I'll be somewhere and get a whiff of something not exactly right but close and I'm like "Alien!"

The night of the party we arrived just after it opened. The girls were wearing their Mickey Santa hats they got earlier that day. It was pretty cool and we all had on warmer clothing which really had up in the holiday mood.

We were all excited and checking out the guide map to find a place to get our pic taken. As we had just gotten onto Main Street and looked up to see the castle and the beautiful decorations at night it bagan to snow! I looked over at my Mom and saw the tears welling in her eyes, she just stood there in the pure joy of the moment. The site of that beautiful castle framed with holiday decorations and falling snow was breathtaking.

My girls and I still remember that very moment as one of our top Disney memories.
