Again, don't know why about 'The DaVinci Code' or who else should have played his part, but Tom Hanks just doesn't work for me.

Aside from the movie casting 80s TV stars and alumni from Irwin Allen's disaster films of the 70s, the movie gets major points for making the Jabberwocky the most feared dragon besides Maleficent or Star Jones. Being a 007 fan, I enjoyed all five actors and I'm awaiting to see how Daniel Craig will turn out. Yes, that means I also enjoyed George Lazenby and On Her Majesty's Secret Service; G'day mate! Oh, and remember everyone, Tall also despises and hates Jimmy Stewart with a passion.

When I watch my DVD I can't believe how much it intimidated me as a kid, lol. And you're wrong about Jimmy Stewart---turns out *I* was wrong about *him*. Well, not completely...I still think he is intolerable in "It's a Wonderful Life", but I did enjoy him in "Rope" (I would have in "Vertigo" too if it were an interesting movie to me and not ZZZZZzzzzzzzzz...)

As for Newley, I don't know if he could have done the physical stuff DVD did - plus, I think they wanted someone actually taller than Julie Andrews. DVD was just about perfect with the one glaring exception of the accent. And yes, it was glaring.
