Democrats aren't buying Coulter's books. Moderates aren't buying them. Non-politicos aren't buying them. The homeless aren't buying them for kindling to keep warm, either. Republicans are buying this book - enough Republicans to make it a bestseller. Democrats aren't listening to Rush Limbaugh. Neither are moderates. People aren't tuning in for the latest Paris Hilton update. Who's listening to him, then proudly proclaiming that he trounces Air America in the ratings? Republicans. Like it or not, there's plenty of sane Republicans - but they aren't in charge anymore. They're the ones on the fringes of the party, not the wackos. The wackos are the mainstream Republicans these days. If the Republican party wants someone like me to respect it again (there really is hope...) then they need to condemn people like Coulter and Limbaugh. Instead, Dick Cheney goes on Limbaugh's show. The truth is, the Republican party will never endorse Coulter, but they absolutely need her kind because they get the base fired up. They'll never condemn her because it'd poison that same base.

Moveon is a lot of things, but still not as low as Coulter. < sorry, but the degree of separation not that great for me either -- all of the same ilk and since when can one not be a Republican and a moderate at the same time ? I give a rat's behind about Ann Coulter and any GOP elected official that would recognize her would never get my vote -- but let's face it- the party platforms are not strictly followed on either side of the aisle
