If you are of true caliber to be "presidential" material from the moment you are born .... then in 1965 that young Mitt would have had the forsight and the bloody wisdom at his young age to know - performing "childish" acts like that .. is not very becoming! I expect anyone who eventually wants to be president of the United States of America to hold a certain level of integrity within their minds ... even at a young age!

In fact, his approval rating was so low, he couldn't have won re-election even if he wanted to run for a second term. Mitt lied to the citizens of Massachusetts about the kind of Governor he would be once elected. He did it to gain "street cred" as an elected official before running for President. He didn't care about being a bipartisan Governor; he only wanted to be Governor so he could run for President. What Mitt did was calculated in order to win elections. It wasn't some clumsy lie most individuals engage in when caught in embarrassing situations like extramarital affairs. The two situations are not comparable. Clinton wasn't the first to stray nor will he be the last. And FWIW, Republicans are caught doing this far more often than Dems. And I don't hear anyone on the right screaming for their resignations. In fact, they seem to go out of their way to re-elect them, like Gingrich, Vitter, and Sanford. If Mitt had been caught having an affair, I have no doubt that the same individuals who were lambasting Clinton would have been first to forgive Romney and insist that he stay in office.
