    Noooooooo.

I bill United Healthcare which uses the AARP name in front of United Healthcare.

AARP itself does not provide health insurance to anyone.

    Just like Princess Jenn said.

    You're mistaken Donny.

No. It is the product of another company that they merely endorse. Big difference.

Kind of like the American Dental Association endorses Crest toothpaste. Do they make it? Do they sell it? No. That would be Procter & Gamble. A little clearer now?

Plus, yes, you have to be 50+ to be in AARP and to get any deal they work out with insurance company X.

No, it does not. Like I said before, it is a way for seniors to buy insurance a a group rate. AARP contracted with United Healthcare and formed a group that seniors can join to get better rates. It is like some small business organizations. Here in Washington there is the Association of Washington Business. The AWB contracts with Premera Blue Cross and gives the small businesses that belong to the association the ability to get better insurance rates because they are part of a larger group. If you work for a large company, and the company offers insurance to it's employees, they do not own the insurance product nor are they insurers. It is the same thing with AARP.

An organization that is not an insurance company cannot have it's own insurance product. There are many requirements that insurance company's have to meet before they are allowed to sell insurance.

Because Donny, who no doubt means well (I just can't help but like the guy) ignores any posts that say something he doesn't agree with and just repeats ad nauseam what he already said, even though other posts have directly shown what he believes to be wrong.

We're not talking about opinions, either. Here's an easily verifiable fact Donny is choosing to ignore.
