Smart people at MK that day then. The number of people I've overheard saying "WTF?" with quizzical faces afterwards is too many.

I would love to see the sacrifice of no daytime parade for a while translate into more energy for new nighttime parades on both Main Streets and then when the time is right a return of a, new, fresh, enjoyable daytime parade.

I think there is more of an expectation of a daytime parade there. Plus I don't find the parade route as intrusive as I do at MK. I don't dare leave TL when the parades are on at MK.

Mike I'm recommending you for a promotion.... :)

Again, I will certainly agree with this. Can't blame the current guys for this 'd'oh' though.

SORRY, but I think that's blashephemous!!!! Daytime parades are a traditional part of Disney parks experiences.
What they need is new investment and attention actaully given to them.

    Soryy, can't condone that one!!!

SORRY, but they are not!!! They're no more sacred than clean queues, well-kept coherent CMs, attraction effects that operate, and clean bed-sheets.

There was a parade on Disneyland's opening day and for those who don't happen to enjoy them all they have to do is avoid them. No need to spoil the fun for those who DO like to watch them. My only complaint is that they aren't changed out often enough. The current one has been around too long. But at least it's a more convenient way for guests to take pictures of the characters, instead of standing in long lines, elsewhere, for that sort of thing.

After all, there's something for you to take advantage of during all those parades. It means there will be that much less competition between you and other guests--while you wait in line for an attraction. The line will be shorter for you because others are off watching the parade!

I think there are a lot of people who have become used to the continual presentation of parades and shows. It's certainly a nice perk, but not something I feel is a necessary component to a day at Disney.

I simply feel no parade is better than a 5 year old parade ran w/ little enthusiasm

Oh, c'mon that was way too easy. A layup. Let's see you shoot one from behind the arc.

Well, I don' have the energy to keep arguing it to do how much meds I am on after my surgery last week, but I still feel like parade are a tradition. And parks that don't have them lack that certain classic essential disney feeling.
I would love to at leatst see them get all new ones more often, and even at that, create ones that could still run longer, but be real strong productions in the first place that have great repeatability.

As I see it, if you don't like then, don't watch them. Millions of disney goers a year around the world expect a beautiful 'disney parade'. it is not just us disney goobs.
Overall, if you don't like them, don't watch them. Don't ruin or take away the experience for all the rest of us.

NOw back to topic, anyone here anything on what the new music may sound like? still orchestral, are more upbeat?

I don't understand what you mean by this. The CM's and characters IN the parade are doing an all-out performance.

How about a Broadway play that's been performing virtually unchanged for 5 years? (except for cast member changes as people move on)

Is that a bad thing? Should a play be updated every year so that repeat playgoers can see something new?
