The unique thing is .. the city of "Monstropolis" has some ties with the concepts of the 1994 Tomorrowland renovation - Which is supposed to be sci-fi city as the future looked to people in the 1920s and 1930s. I remember references used to promote WDW's "New Tomorrowland 1994" with tag lines to "Buck Rogers" and the 1927 film "Metropolis". To do an exact copy .. or maybe near perfect references to the Monsters Inc. we know of through the Pixar film itself ... is a direction I feel is futile! The thing they should do .... Is tie the Monsters Inc. world to the 1920s/30s future of WDW's TL. They can't just set it with the same modern day/contemporary feel of the 2001 film. I personally would be willing to buy into Monsters Inc. in TL ... just as long as they fit them with a retro futuristic setting. That's my pragmatic/compromise to WDI throwing in the bag .. and trying to fit cartoon characters just anywhere. But preferably ... TL's "artistic integrity" is now teetering on the edge .. And iether they stick with a futuristic attraction .. or just take the name of "Tomorrowland" out. But that would be terrible, and really unacceptable.

You can download the video from iTunes. I've never been to WDW but this seems like a strange rumor to me. I don't think it would fit into any Tomorrowland setting. I really enjoy this new addition to the Hollywood Studios area of DCA. Maybe MGM is the right place.
