Building movers can move an entire 100+ year old lighthouse 300 feet to safety away from a deteriorating beach line as demonstrated in a recent Learning Channel show .... But Disney can't redesigned a backstage area? They just don't WANT to .. because it entails spending more money .. and means spending more effort.

I do realize they expanded into the store area, but why couldn't WDW do the same? I do hope this is not just like Turtle Talk, but something bigger, and improved. WDW doesn't need two of the same kind of attraction...they already have some of those.

Haven't been back there too many times, but I don't recall this parcel of land backing onto either a lake, or a wilderness reserve. Absent those two deal-breakers, then it isn't that Disney "couldn't", it's that they don't want to spend the money, which makes it "won't".

They should have made it into a nice restaurant (MK needs SOME) where they could utilize the 360 vision theater as well. Now THAT would have been cool.

ORWEN: Of course I really don't think it fits in ANY of the Magic Kingdom lands. It would have fit much better over at Disney M-G-M--where it could have replaced that dreadful Drew Carey monstrosity that never should have been created to begin with. ORDDU: In the meantime, Time Keeper should have just remained where it was unless and until the Imagineers could have come up with a better idea. No attraction should ever be taken away from us unless it can be replaced by something much better. Somewhere along the line, present management has lost their grip on this concept.
