Whether it be the hotel pool, an extended lunch at Trails End, or hit the ACed shows in the parks. I have to choose Summer, because the Ex won't let me take the kids out of school, and the short vacations through out the year are taken up with family stuff. So that leaves summer for the week+ vacations. I choose August because of the lower croud levels. But to be honest, there are a few issues. Like being afraid you will burst into flames while waiting for the afternoon parades, but its all good.

I'd rather leave frigid Chi town in Jan or Feb for warm weather than leave hot muggy Chicago for hot muggy Florida -- but with kids it doesn't work out that way. not only school work - but school sports and club sports etc.--- some years July the only month available
