I couldn't believe the small plate of white rice with a scoop of fatty beef (maybe two table-spoons full) of sukiyaki for $8.99 at Yakitori House. Message to Disney, for the same $8.99 guests can exit WDW at DD, take a left onto 535, go a mile and get a steak dinner with full salad bar and fixings ... it may be the Sizzler, but the quality is worlds better than what Disney quick serve has come to. I did just that a night after my disgusting 'dinner' at Epcot ... and if I, a Morton's and Shula's guy, can enjoy the Sizzler, I am quite sure that most WDW guests can too. Again, WAKE UP EXECS ...your guests aren't nearly as stupid (even the bumpkins from Texas -- that one was for my buddy!) as you think they are. LOWER FOOD COSTS, INCREASE QUALITY! People will spend more in the end. (Oh and I also heard more complaints and grumbling about the prices and quality at Food and Wine than I ever have in its entire history this year!)

We would literally be in a park and say.... how about pizza..... ok... then look to see what places served pizza in that park... walked to those locations and found them fully booked and the prices were crazy. So decided to just pretty much eat off property. I can remember wanting pumpkin ice cream.... the ice cream shop on Main Street was not serving pumpkin.... and one night we went over to Baskin Robins, sure enough..... they had pumpkin ice cream. For the life of me I could NOT find pumpkin ice cream on property.... not at Beaches and Cream... not in the ice cream shop on Main Street.... no where.

This is my first visit in at least five years where I didn't have a dinner at the California Grill, Jiko or Artist Point (three of my faves). As to pumpkin ice cream, Tom ... you must think you're at DL. They never offer seasonal items like that at WDW. Haven't in so many years. Matter of fact, they've streamlined the offerings/flavors at the Main Street Ice Cream shop. And someone must really tell them that you need both whipped cream (missing on sundaes at DAK) and chopped nuts (missing on Main Street) to make a real hot fudge sundae. This isn't that difficult boys and girls.

I absolutely agree that eliminating the small touches makes a *big* difference in the guest experiences. And if they need to eliminate the DDP (which I have enjoyed in the past) to improve quality, then so be it!

Ooops that must be another thing that has declined since 2006, LOL. Seriously, I'm not all that upset about the lack of Pumpkin ice cream on property. As far as I"m concerned there is always Ghirardelli in Downtown Disney! You can't have chocolate everyday or can you?
