I just don't see the reason we should lose the towel animals. After all the Mousekeepers leave the towel animals in hopes of getting a larger tip. I agree with Dave, and vbdad, we need both. The towel animals make a lot of kids, and adults happy. It certainly seems to add to that magical Disney experience we hear so much about.

    >> I say NO MORE TOWEL ANIMALS = CLEANER ROOMS! <<

You know the Mousekeepers make the towel animals in advance. They don't spend the time making them instead of cleaning your room. I have found the best service seems to come from the folks that take the time to make the animals. John, and Mary who work at he WL are perfect examples of this. Management establishes the low quality of cleaning, and changing sheets, not the Mousekeepers. They are only following instructions. I suggest you attend Towel Animal Sensativity Class to get rid of some of that hostility! :)

Just don't look under the bed I love my sons towel bunny his name is Biscuit! I wish we got more! Yes there was a hair wad in the corner of the bathroom, there when we got there and there when we left I noted it as being gross but I had better things to do so I avoided it! Even though I thought I saw it move once that sucker was huge! But I think more about Bicuit than the hair wad, since Biscuit still sleeps in my bed everynight and the hair wad is hopefully with another nice family at the Carribean. We miss you hair wad!

    Simple.

Mousekeeping has shown that, by and large, they can't clean and make towel animals.

I'd like to lighten their load and put the focus back where it should be.

I don't find assorted bodily fluids, hair, mystery splotches, mold, dirt, food remnants and dust to be magical.

When Mousekeeping can handle all of the above, then they can birth more Winky's. Until then ... no more!

<<After all the Mousekeepers leave the towel animals in hopes of getting a larger tip.>>

That's not going to work with me. I readily admit I don't tip Disney mousekeepers unless they go above and beyond. Most can barely clean the rooms to begin with. So I am not going to give them what Disney refuses to for getting a room that is made up to appear clean rather than actually being so.

    Towel animals or none.

<<I agree with Dave, and vbdad, we need both. The towel animals make a lot of kids, and adults happy.>>

    Some adults are easily amused.

<<It certainly seems to add to that magical Disney experience we hear so much about.>>

For some, I am sure it does. For me, it doesn't.

I am not sure this is accurate and even if it is true, they still are taking time away from cleaning rooms, which is what their jobs are.

<<I have found the best service seems to come from the folks that take the time to make the animals. John, and Mary who work at he WL are perfect examples of this. Maybe ... but it doesn't help when folks on sites like this babble on about how magical their fabric friends are ... just like when people say 'Disney is the cleanest place in the world' or 'I love SGE and MILF and Imagination etc' ... these posts are read by Disney and they feel if the folks who are most passionate about Disney -- that would be us! -- find towel animals magical well ... it costs nothing to have CMs make Winky for you (that sounds almost dirty), but it does cost them to actually replace and wash the glasses in your room ... it does cost them to change the linens regularly ... it does cost them to steam clean the carpeting regularly ... it does cost them to vacuum every room, every day ... see where I am going with this?

Only if I can get the taxpayers and/or LP.com Community to pay for it ... and I get to stay at a 5-star resort while undergoing it. Dana Point is lovely this time of year ...

It's not just what is under the bed that's a concern.

But that doesn't work for me. I spend lots of $$$ for my magical WDW vacations and I expect a clean room. Everyone should, but many Americans have been WalMarted and think it's OK to have a room that doesn't even look clean let alone actually being.

<<I love my sons towel bunny his name is Biscuit! I wish we got more! >>

    Excuse me while I vomit.

It is 'tudes like the above (and I have no idea if you are being serious or not, I hope not) that allows Disney to WalMart its resorts.

I don't want anyone else's hair wads hanging around my mgaical WDW resort when they check out.

You should just look around MPierce ... idiots throw money everywhere, in attraction queues, in water, you name it ... since they aren't true wishing wells and the money isn't really Disney's, you should just bring bags and haul that loot out ... it would be heavy, but you'd make enough to buy a DVC stake!

I have only stayed at the Marriott resort there ... and no towel animals. Beautiful, high-end, CLEAN rooms though!

But, if it will get you to empty your pockets, I'll make sure someone there makes me towel animals ... or I can move up to the St. Regis (or was it the Ritz?) like the AIG folks did.
