Yes. And while Dave is my favorite Commie pinko UKer, I would not agree that WDW sucks.

Parts do, but largely it is management that does (often literally as well! ;-) )

EPCOT and DAK and many resorts are as magical as ever!

Agreed, there are pockets of excellence, but I am more likely to want to spend my time and money elsewhere.

Apparently, all MK resorts including FW as well as DAK Lodge have and will continue to have specific merchandise, while all others (in every category) will sell generic WDW merchandise

They were testing 'show elements' in (I believe) the Exposition Hall with guests 'allegedly' picked at random. It seemed to be a pre-req that you had an eight-year-old girl named Briana with you to be selected.

No idea. But WL has both WL and DVC merchandise for sale.

But BC has NO BC merchandise or BCV merchandise, but has generic DVC stuff ... kinda like the Disney Parks windbreakers they're trying to peddle in all the WDW shops for $15 (I think) if you spend $50 (I think!)

BTW ... quietly, WDW has continued its across the board 10% merchandise discount for APers. That jumps to 20% for the 1000 or so folks who have the new USA AP and feel very special.

Oh, and word has it that if sales don't show a HUGE increase that that pass may be a one year deal and disappear faster than D23 will.

Sadly, I think that's largely been true for a decade.

I know some folks will start list-making now, but what opened in the 2000-2009 period at WDW that can compare to the major attractions prior?

Soarin? Everest? TSMM? MS?

Those may be fun, but none of them have that WOW factor ... that you know it when you experience it deal that Disney used to deliver and, it appears, UNI has with Potter.

Everest had the wow factor with the Yeti. The rest of the ride was decent, but when that thing was working it really blew me away.
