    >>The top Theme/Amusement Park websites

Finally, a list I created in the last week or so. Somebody posted at MiceChat with a list that The Disney Portal website created. They haven't updated it in over 6 months, so I thought I would create an updated one, using just the traffic volume each website got, plus adding some websites that The Disney Portal didn't list.

The list is in order, with the Disney/Theme/Amusement park site with the most volume listed first, then the overall ranking from the Quantcast website, and then the name of the Website.

There is a major bias, as this is how often you get visitors, so a website with a board will tend to get more traffic than a site like BlueSkyDisney or MiceAge, that tends to only have a few new articles a week.

But it also looks like people like to shop and buy travel, based on some of the higher rated sites.....

Hopefully the name isn't too sublte for them. It's a very interesting list, considering that I've never even heard of most of the ones that seem to be the most popular (but I guess I don't really search for travel info).

It's also interesting to me that LP and the LP Store are listed as seperate things (I guess they do technically have different URLs and all that stuff), and that the store is ranked higher than the normal site.

So why is MiceAge/MiceChat set up like that? What would that do to the rankings if you combined MiceAge and MiceChat together?

They have currently over 20 Million sites, and they rank them for the most popular and then downward.

For example, the top sites are...

    1. Yahoo
    2. Google
    3. AOL
    4. eBay
    5. Microsoft

So they are going from the top to the bottom.

But if you look at the Uniques (number of different folks visiting in the same month, Yahoo and Google have over 120 million folks each, while number 3, AOL, has less than 60 million, so there is a big jump between the top 2 and the rest.

But it is basically, the more "uniques" (different people) your website gets, the LOWER the number you will have in their top list.

It is really the amount of different visitors per month that makes you get rated higher.
