Sheboygan, Green Bay and Manitowoc are all pretty close to each other. Appleton and Oshkosh are within twenty miles. LaCrosse and Eau Claire are pretty close to each other too. Wausau is pretty much the middle of the state a few hours away each of these other cities. But I'm pretty surprised we have the second most.

You apparently didn't read the paragraph above the data you copied:

<<It is estimated that in the state of Minnesota there are between 50,000-70,000 Hmong (out of a total of 250,000-300,000 in the U.S.) The Twin Cities metro area has one of the largest populations of Hmong in the United States. Most of the Hmong in Minnesota live in the Twin Cities with the majority in the metropolitan area residing in the city of St. Paul. Smaller but substantial numbers of Hmong also live in the city of Minneapolis and its nearby suburbs.

Year 2000 Population estimates for other states and cities are listed below. The estimates are provided by Hmong National Development based in Washington D.C.>>

    Thanks for the clarification.

For the record, I had never heard the term 'Hmong' until we moved to Merced -- when a person we met here used it -- I thought he was using a racial epithet.
