Sorry for not speaking clearly. I meant threads about Pleasure Island. Over the course of the past several years, I've visited several Disney message boards and all of them have said that Pleasure Island is done for.

Like I said, maybe I'm not seeing it properly, but every year that I've gone to Pleasure Island, it's always been energetic and vibrant. I often feel like others are seeing things that I'm not.

    Sincerely,

I remember LP being the "Laughing" Place. There was a great sense of togetherness and happiness. I don't get that much now from visiting. Now quite a bit of LP feels like the "Loathing" Place. Or perhaps The Island of misfit toys?

I'm no internet wizard, but I have visited a few other discussion sites on the web over time. And I have been generally stricken with how mealy and vindinctive the discourse can get out there, compared to here. The raw language, too. Their "Admin" people must be on vacation. Or whatever it is that they choose to Admin must fit into a really small folder.

Thanks to Disney sites like LP where things are much more give and take, and at least civil.

If they weren't, I'd be out of here. Life's too short.

I think Disney people in general are different. And the kind of people that I would prefer to spend time with.

I feel the same way sometimes. For instance, while I agree that things in the WDW parks seem not to be as clean as they may have been in years past, I compare my trip to the parks with a trip to just about anywhere else in the real world, and Disney still is head and shoulders higher. So that's what your less frequent visitor will see.

We regulars and locals visit so much and have been doing it so long that we are seeing things that yes, are actually there, but that take place over such a time frame that most others don't see it. At least not the same way.

What makes it harder is that we Disney people really really care about even small departures from our perceptions. And this is good.

    4) My personal favorite- The rantings that go on every time someone gets ill( or worse)at a Disney Park when Disney is not at fault.
