This summer we need to concentrate on my son with the broken leg and getting through rehab for it. We don't have the time ( and I don't have the energy) to get another pet acclimated to our family.

You are wise to wait until you're in a better situation to get a new little kitten.

My cat is 14 and still looks and acts like she did when she was two. Every now and then, I realize how old she is and her days are most likely numbered. I get all choked up just thinking about the possibility of her not being with us. I can imagine how sad this is for you and your family.

I had a cat before I was married who I adored, she slept in my bed every night , I loved her to bits. When I got married she got cancer and when she died I was devastated. My mum bought two new cats the same day, which I thought wasnt the right decision at the time, but it helped my mum.

Good luck to your son, and for his braces. My eldest has an appointment next month to see if he is ready to start his treatment...eeek.

    How is his leg now?

Bloona- the leg seems to be healing. He is in the wheelchair for another month- still completely non weight bearing until then. Hopefully he will get the pins out then and start rehab. He gets around pretty well in the wheelchair- he does more than I wish he would ( pops wheelies, plays basketball at recess, etc) but I'm trying not to suck all the fun out of his life-lol! He goes up and down the stairs on his own- sitting on his hiney, holding his walker with one arm and hoisting himself up and down with the other. He will have great upper body strength when this is over. Thanks for asking about him!
