I picked him out of a litter when I was in pre-school and had him until I was engaged. That was teh hardest I'd ever cried in my life when we took him to be put down. Right after we got married we got a Siamese mix at the shelter. She was 5 months old and just turned 12 last month. I know I will be facing this in the next few years. Hang in there and try to post her/his picture up in sight so you can heal.
