In my opinion, re-doing this classic attraction would be a crime. You would not let Thomas Kinkade repaint a Monet, so why would you let some self important Imagineer of today impose their version of what is better on something that has been cherished by so many people, for such a long time. Look what happened in Florida, most people hate it.

THAT's why it's a classic attraction; it also well written, great music and pleasant over all (I've always loved the Rain Sequence) I have a tough time seeing the oldies go but I think that's because I am becoming an oldie.... Tiki Room, The Motoboats, The Monsanto, Mission to Mars and very favorite Nature Wonderland's Train Ride...

I was sitting next to a tiki pole and when they started chanting, I thought that was the neatest thing in the world. During my teen years I was too "sophisticated" to sing along. Now, it's all part of the fun After all these years, it is still on my list of "must do" things. To miss it just wouldn't be right

That said, I hope it stays forever like It's a Small World. It's just such a charming show, and something I think can still resonate with audiences. I have very fond memories of it as a kid, and it's always wonderful to see kids experience it for the first time. Just this last trip (in December) I went to the show and it was a full house. There was a little boy sitting with his mom in the front row. When the Tiki gods were doing the war chant, he was really rocking out! He was pounding the seat like he was drumming and he really got into the show. Then, when the thunder struck, he jumped about a foot in the air and clung to his mom. It was really cute, and a testament to the fact that it can still engage kids (and adults too).

In the Tiki, Tiki Tiki, Tiki Tiki Room, in the Tiki, Tiki, Tiki, Tiki, Tiki Room, where the birds sing words, and the flowers croon....
