    I had the same thought.

I know what you mean. I have been a one man campaign against ever reading the words, Disney apologist (which btw, no one can explain what it means), Rubes as anyone that likes the way things are. Also the ever popular "Pixie Dusters" again used if someone actually likes something that Disney has been doing. It is a form of intimidation and bullying and it causes the few hairs I have left on my head to stand out straight. I have attempted to turn that around by either calling them out on the name calling or redefining their own words. For example, to me a Pixie Duster is one that is so embedded in what Disney used to be, or at least what their 5 year old minds remember that any change is just awful. That has been somewhat successful. It's kind of fun actually to go head to head with the alleged "cool kids" on the boards.

There are, however, some very well informed members that get new information out before most other places. If it just stayed at that it would be fine, but, then the speculation and opinions jump in there and it becomes impossible to tell what is actually happening from what people wish would be happening or think is happening.

I do encourage looking in every area to see what best works for you. The Chit Chat section is a fun place where everyone just has a good time and jokes and laughs and leaves usually feeling good. Take time to look through them.

I actually wish DL were my primary park because the DL section seems more manageable. The WDW portion has so many sections and so much activity that it all seems a little overwhelming. So far I have stuck with the Resort Hotel and Dining sections, as well as the Cruise Line and Disneyland section.

Most of the others seem to hang on by the skin of their teeth with old-timers like me and people who realize that in-depth discussions on Facebook are pretty much impossible.

A few, like WDW Magic seem to do quite well. What do they have going for them? An up-to-date interface, friendly vibe, and NO TROLLS.

I will always care about LP. LP stopped caring about me.

That is the reason that I suggested starting out slowly, getting some discussion in on non-controversial things, get a little established and use the search if you can to find out if a topic has already been beat to death before posting something new.

After you establish yourself as legit, then you can have meaningful discussions about more important things.
