DL and HKDL bot followed after TDL and also took the Astro Blaster name. Maybe the explanation of not wanting a name similar to Roger Rabbit's Cartoon Spin is correct, but it would have to be in reference to TDL not DL. TDL does have Toontown with Cartoon Spin, so it is possible.

I heard they were putting pressure on the disneyland resort to do the same but the imagineers and disney on the west coast were very atimate about calling it Midway Mania seeing that it was on a midway and would work better theme wise unlike DHS were it takes place at the pixar studios so midway doesn't fit as well. And then i guess marketing wanted to use just toy story mania not to confuse guests, which is does believe me, i have heard guests asking right infront of the attraction were toy story mania is and when they say right here, they say no this is midway mania, we want toy story mania. but i guess disney world gave in and called theirs midway as well, so now we have advertisments that aren't really that great of information. but i could be totally wrong and someone with correct information can post if i did get this wrong.
