I'm just pointing out that if you're in Anaheim, you have this huge city full of interesting things within easy driving distance.

St Augustine - Oldest continuously inhabited city in the Americas. The fort is pretty cool, as is nearby Ft Matanzas. And Ft Caroline and the Timucuan Reserve by Jacksonville were pretty interesting as well. Canaveral - While I wasn't impressed with the National Seashore, Kennedy Space Center is great. The VAB is HUGE, as is the crawler they use to move the shuttles to the launch. And the new Apollo building is great as well, complete with a Saturn rocket. Miami - Besides the City, there's Biscayne Bay with its beautiful reefs, wildlife, and 10,000 years of human history. Everglades - A unique ecosphere in the Americas. And it's pretty interesting to learn how we've changed it and how we're attempting to restore it. Key West - Cheeseburgers in Paradise and Margaritaville. There's a reason Jimmy Buffet and Ernest Hemingway liked it. Tampa area - Learn about the exploration of Florida and the southwest at the DeSoto NM, and hit Busch Gardens - a real nice amusement park, with some great animal displays, some good rides, and a Beer School.

You know where I don't go, though? I don't go to Magic Mountain in the LA area. It doesn't have rides that are anything I can get basically around here. Knott's too, nowadays.
