There just are far more who can, but don't ever get the chances and I find that sad. I also think the era of moving up significantly are gone. Can someone start as a CPer and wind up in middle management some day? Sure. But can someone who buses tables at the Contemporary Resort now be DLR Prez in 35 years? Nope. That ship has sailed. <<Many things are possible, but not very likely. It's great when you can be an exception to the rule ...>> <<Agreed - but it does prove it is possible. And - sorry to hear about your friends. I hope that their stories turn out better than expected.>> I do too, thanks. After a great spring, this summer has sucked (don't even have the energy for a fanboi/Imagineer joke!) a lot. Really looking for some good news, which likely means the door in the floor is about to open again. ~CM Discounts Don't Pay Mortgages!~

Perhaps the change is more evident at Disney since such movement was probably more common within the Disney Company than most. But as the company becomes more traditionally corporate, the chance of going from very low to very high does indeed become less likely. And more's the pity. Have things gotten worse even in the 10 years my daughter has been at WDW? Perhaps ... I wouldn't be surprised.

He tries to pass his hate speach off as journalisim, when in reality he's nothing but a left wing blogger. Dana Priest is going to lose her crediability teaming up with that moron.

There's really not much to discuss on the subject. I'm not arguing any point of the article at all. Just the character of one of the contributors. Anybody can investigate that, and reach their own conclusion.

We have no idea what we are paying for. The one term not used was 'shadow government' but that's certainly what it reeks of. There are now 854,000 people in this country with the highest level clearance. Does that make anyone feel safer? Or does it make you cringe? But I am glad there are likely 31 governmental agencies that didn't exist before 9/11 spying on me daily instead of say ... actually doing something to make us safer. Oh, and worst of all, the same inter-agency urinating contests that left one agency not knowing what the others had compiled before 9/11? We still have that ... just much, much, much more extensive. It's mindblowing. Oh, and rightwing CNBC, which is a whore of Wall Street and the military industrial complex, even followed up ... although their conclusion is that this is a great thing because of all the jobs it has created. ~Scared Spirit~

But that doesn't mean they aren't speaking the truth, either. You want character? Go to WDW, they have plenty! ~Horace and Clarabelle love the Spirit!~
