I believe we stopped at an outlet mall there.

    Lisann,
The reason I'm asking for odd is because as kids Ursula and I have seen just about every place in California there is to see (and other states as well) - but my dad would NEVER stop to see an underwear museum, or a triangular rock collection, or the world's largest paper bag, or anything that was considered "a waste of money".

I think seeing quirky things like that is part of what this country is made of.

Why settle for ordinary when you could be enthralled by the odd?

They're where Planet of the Apes was filmed--among many other movies.

And they're right up the road from me!
