What I do know is that Zimmerman, a man who had been arrested for resisting arrest and assaulting an officer, but had the charges dropped by entering rehab, was able to get obtain a gun. That he carried that gun while on self-appointed "neighborhood watch", that he followed a young man on his way home to his dad's house -- against the advice of a 911 operator, that he obviously got out of his vehicle and followed him on foot and that he ended up shooting and killing him. I also know that Conservatives are doing everything they can to blame the victim; from reading his twitter account to researching his school records, even blaming him because he wore a hoodie, which apparently made him look menacing to the armed Zimmerman who was safe in his vehicle.
