It largely comes down to the individual left standing. My wife could kill me tomorrow and claim I came at her so she killed me. Mind you, there is no evidence of any problems in our marriage. But, there is an awfully strong case to be made that she could win a defense case (if she were even tried) based on current law. The law must be changed.
