The last couple weeks out here were a little crazy, with it hitting triple digits every day, but now that it's cooled down some (highs in the upper 80's/lower 90's) it's pretty nice. Of course it's hot, but it's summer; it's supposed to be hot.

I'm also excited to have thunderstorms again! There's just something really primal about being able to stand there and watch nature's power all around you. In 6 years in California, I never saw anything that I would lable an impressive sorm; I think I only heard thunder/saw lightning 2-3 times in that entire period. While it can rain heavily at times in CA, it's more like heavy mist, since the raindrops are so small and it's rarely a part of a bigger storm system. Plus, it's that icky miserable cold rain that just ruins everyone's day.

I was on the National Mall a couple week ago when the really big storm hit (I was without power for about 30 hours), so that was a little scary since there was no shelter nearby and tras, tree limbs, tents, and port-a-potties were blowing around, but it was a great "Welcome back!" storm!

And I know it really does sound crazy when I say it, but I really did miss the humidity. There's nothing worse than waking up every morning with a hangover (regardless of whether or not you drank the night before) simply because you're in the desert. I do miss being able to stand in the shade to cool off significantly, but I'll survive just fine without that trick!

We also have WDW on this side of the land mass as well. Mix that with the heat and humidity and you've got yourself a party! :)

I went to DL only once and that was the first week of October...the temperature was 106. Couldn't even touch the hand rails in the queues that had exposure to the sun. That wasn't exactly comfortable. That said...I only go to WDW in the late fall, winter and early spring.

On the rare occasion when I consider riding the Autopia, there always seems to be a long wait to get into those oversized go carts.

Of course, it is relatively slow loading at all hours, but it operates with an entirely different mindset than the other attractions in the park, where clearing the queue can be a good thing.

If anyone isnt pleased with DL's Autopia then you should really try WDW's version and you will really see how DL's is like a million times better. If any version should go first it should be the one at WDW.

If they are going to put a Indy or RSR type ride in then i would say go ahead.
