The only thing I can assume what is happening is that all the hard core fans are showing up as soon as the park opens to ride it as they naturally think its the best time to ride it. Ironically, maybe EVERYONE is thinking this to go in the mornings (and OF COURSE this is what all the EE people going to do), so after all those people do it, the line falls by the mid afternoon to a more manageable wait.

I think 2 hours is fine for the ride NOW, considering it's only 3 days old lol, but it sounds like maybe a few months, it will be reasonable with everyone trying to jumping on it now, but most seeming to be sayiing they would never stand that long for it again (ironically, something I posted in another thread a few days ago ;)).

His wait was 2.5 hours - he said he entered the line near the Motorboat Cruise landing. But when he got off at approximately 11:45AM or noon he walked back to check the line and it was then shorter than when he got in line. No additional switchbacks had been added/opened, and the line did not reach back to the Motorboat Cruise.

This sounds disappointing. They have to know that this was going to be an extremely popular attraction. Why did they not have the queue staffed appropriately to make sure that a single line formed in an orderly fashion?

It looks like if you don't get their early, the best strategy is to wait until afternoon (but who knows with this being the first weekend).
