Say -- I'll be at both the Tues and Weds Halloween fireworks previews at the MK this week. I like to be near the popcorn stand at the 7pm castle hub position. Watch for me. I'll be using a tripod. (Like that helps, right?)

riverted -- I'm still hoping to meet up with you on the 'Share A Dream' parade and Julie Andrews. Her intro brings back great memories when I hear it at the 3pm parade start.

In Birmbaum,s guide they used to tell how WDW was always freshly painted. The monorail seats were never torn.

As I said before, I love the place and everytime I go I stay for at least ten days and spend quite a few thousand dollars. I think I and everyone else should get their moneys worth.

Why do people criticize the people who think it is better than ever now? Thinking that, they obviously must be un-educated and wrong. Perhaps you did enjoy it more 10 years ago, but perhaps others enjoy it more now, because 10 years ago, Philharmagic, Test Track, Mission:Space, Soarin', DtD West Side, Fantasmic!, Wishes, Illuminations 2000,Blizzard Beach, etc.etc. didn't exist! I’m not saying I support either one of those scenarios but I think everyone should be perfectly allowed to voice their opinion without being told how they’re being ‘ripped off’, and should choose to visit somewhere else.

We should celebrate each experience for what it is and what it brings to us. Comparing it to some other time or place isn't necessary to enjoy the current event, especially if that comparison tends to diminish it.

Think of it. To be told "Wow! That really was great! But -- it was even better when I saw it at Disneyland!"

Even if it's true, all that does is say "I saw it better than you," and lets some of the air out of it.

I'd rather say it this way -- "Wow! That MGM Fantasmic really was great! I especially liked the scene with ...., didn't you?"

Then I might add "If you ever get to Disneyland, be sure to see the original Fantasmic show there. It's got features that you'll love that didn't make it into this show."

However, I do not like the "intimacy" of too many people in such a small space for too long a time. People line up and stake a spot way too early in order to get the "best" seats. And they can be rude.

The Studios stadium seating may not be as intimate. I prefer to think of it as being better engineered for a large audience experience. A well-done compromise.

As for people who get up to leave before the end, that happens just about anywhere. People leave before the 9th inning is over, once the two-minute warning is given, right after communion.

Me, I sit through the credits. The teenagers who come in and do a cursory popcorn sweepup at the movie theater are gone again before I get up to go.

Exactly my views. It is very neat to see just plain looking attractions (during the day) come to life at night in such a way...and DL's Fantasmic definitely has some features that leave you with the ‘that was so cool!’ type of attitude. But I just don’t see how you can call MGM’s boring. I can see liking one over the other, certain features in one of the other, but both are still pretty amazing and great shows. To call it ‘awful’, or ‘dreadful’ or whatever is not fair IMO.

My biggest annoyance is the huge crowd of people who try to 'sneak out' after Spectro, but before Wishes leaving CM’s yelling for “EVERYONE WATCHING THE FIREWORKS- STEP ONTO THE SIDEWALK!â€â€¦ I mean...if you're going to stay for the parade, you might as well stay for the fireworks.

I am sorry but that would be a hypocritical statement if the guest really didn't care much for MGM's version. I could never be cover my true feelings in such fashion just to satisfy others' feelings on the matter.

You'd think that at $60+ per day, people would be in less of a hurry to get out of the MK or WDW altogether.

What isn't fun is waiting in line for 75 minutes at Ariel's Grotto...oh wow...for a 10 second visit at that!
