It's going to be great for ALL the parks in Orlando, IMO. Depending on the price of a trip, it'll make it easier for people staying on property to head to Universal if they want, along with people that maybe staying at Uni to come to Disney for a day.

Great, so the first thing that visiting tourists will see at WDW will be the cheap-o hotels? Lovely.

And let me guess, they'll step off that shiney, new high speed train and onto smelly, gas spewing magical Disney buses. Yeah, the spirit of EPCOT is clearly still driving the creation of WDW...

As for the name, if you're going "Art" get Cars the hell out of there. Cars is by far the worst movie Pixar has ever put out. If you want art, put in WALL-E or Pinocchio.

We're not dumb Disney, call it what it is, "Disney's Biggest Franchises in Animation Hotel".<<<

    Winner winner, chicken dinner.

One of the worst offenses Disney has going right now.

How hard is it to at least go to Bio-diesl?

Sweet, I'll be expecting that chicken dinner next week when I'm in Florida.

I'm not making any excuses for other construction not occurring, I'm just saying this project shouldn't be made the scapegoat for Disney's failure to update the parks. I simply don't think it's an either/or proposition. <<<

While both will have their flaws, I'm for them. And in fact, yes, this will be simultaneously. We just need to see them do it again in the future to establish if they are going down the right path.

    >>> First, my apologies. As you point out, there was no reason for me to take that tone or to take any shot at you.

I guess the easy response to you not understanding people defending Disney is it would likewise be easy for others to not understand why you 'bash' Disney consistently. Essentially, we're all just going off of our opinions with the only thing to back us up being reasoned premises or 'theories'. I'm sure we would all like to think of ourselves as objectives, but we all have certain biases. I don't see anyone here discussing things with the pie-eyed, rose-colored fanboy glasses, nor do I see anyone arbitrarily saying "THIS SUCKS, MORE RIDES!!! GRRR!!" I see fairly reasoned discussion on both sides, and although I disagree with your reasoning, I at least understand it and view it as logical.

To that end, comments critical of others' reasoned opinions (without stating why) just rub me the wrong way. It'd be one thing if you said that in response to a comment such as "LEAVE DISNEY ALONE, WHY DO YOU CRITICIZE DISNEY ON A FAN SITE?!?!" But that was not the case.<<<

Understood, apology accepted, and I offer mine, too...I was just venting/incredulous/baffled. :)

If you are in Miami, a emergency Doom and Gloomers meeting can be planned.

But to me, all that says is that they'd rather invest in something easy than to invest in something that will actually define the parks. New rooms won't do that.

I am happy they are being used. Those things are an eye sore like no other.

FLE is costing them significant amounts of money. That's land that generally doesn't have utilities and infrastructure. Some does where there were things like Toon Town and the subs before, but there's a large part that was just trees before.

Shame it's not bringing anything significant to the MK...

I'd call TLM and BoG significant. Just not significant enough for what the park needs.

It's a step in the right direction, but it's still just a step, not the full make over the park needs.
