Looking at Jim Hill's track record, there may never have been a Jungle Trek beyond total blue sky thinking. I stopped reading his site 2 years ago - I just couldn't separate the fact from the fiction.

I think Lee is spot on. Other public and private people have also confirmed TLM for 20K. Combine that with the business strategy of multiple installations and it looks pretty straight-forward.

DAK and Monsters rumors been around for a while. Not sure how to reconcile them. Lee H. does have a very good reputation.

There are plans for expansions/additions at each of the four parks, but as far as I know, very few things are etched in stone (I believe the Studios projects are pretty close).

Look at the economy again ... and look at Disney's cutbacks (there are more and they are looking at lay-offs again) in Orlando and ask yourself if this conservative management mindset is going to invest hundreds of millions in expansion dollars when they can just market the magic and add more timeshares.

    Sorry. Hope I am wrong.

One must seriously wonder just how much confidence Bob Iger, Tom Staggs and Jay Rasulo have in what WDW attendance is going to look like as '08 fades into '09.

I wouldn't expect anything from WDW ... except very discounted hotel offers ... in the near term.

We will know its bad when they start to discount admission media. Like $99 7 Day ParkHoppers.

The one thing, in my mind, that is awfully certain for WDW is TLM @ 20K.

Not sure how the economy could even stop that, but, hey, I guess I wouldn't be shocked either.

I got The Little Mermaid. But what does it have to do with 20K?

And in any one of those locations .. they can put Little Mermaid in ....
and just leave the rest of as nice grassy knolls ... and leave it for future possibilities going into "MK" development for the next 30 years .. or so.

Doing that wouldn't require them to go farther North as your map depicts. Doesn't look hopeful.

But as far as I can tell, it isn't a done deal just yet.

And I guarantee you the economy has Disney very skittish about investing anything in its Florida parks.

FYI, MK didn't hit 30,000 bodies this either day this weekend (unless you add the hard ticket clicks).

Also heard that EPCOT was 'almost deserted' last night, although I don't have an attendance count ... yet.

Lee definetly has good sources. Now tell me Skelly do you have as good inside information as Lee?

I would agree that Bush has done a poor job as a whole on the economy. Yes the oil companys are hosing the American people right now. Now, are you saying when Obama is elected oil prices will drop because of it?
