Originally Posted By FerretAfros I also bypassed this restaurant because it just didn't look especially interesting from the outside. Since it's located under the Electric Railway, it sort of feels like a forgotten low-budget place in a bad part of town (but the nice and clean Disney version of it). I'm glad to hear that the inside is so much better and that the food is good too I'm also interested that the character dining is optional. I think all of the character locations in the US are entirely character meals (or separated by time of day), so having the option at the door is a neat feature

I think it's funny that they copied the name from the Hungry Bear Restaurant at DL, even though the two have nearly nothing in common. Given that the DL location isn't known for good food (though I guess the reputation probably wasn't established by the time they copied it), it seems like an interesting choice And one of your photos showed the tray, which was specific for the restaurant. While they used to do this in the US as well, it's been a very long time since they had unique trays in our parks, so I was pleasantly surprised by the variety available at TDR. It's not a huge deal, but it was a really nice little touch

You'd think that the Yakuza members would have caught on by now and not gotten tattoos themselves And I think TDS got the statue about a year after DCA got it. There's a plaque next to it explaining that it was a gift from TWDC, but the way it's positioned in a far corner of the Aquasphere Plaza, it seems sort of like it was a gift that TDR didn't know what to do with (like the petrified tree in DL's Frontierland, which was an anniversary gift from Walt to his wife). It's just a strange spot for it
