In the US parks, the cashiers serve the 2 sides of their podiums like there are 2 different queues, but most guests line up like there's only 1; this arrangement makes it very clear what's going on I was also impressed that the real food looked exactly like the plastic version. Usually the advertised version looks like the 'perfect' version of the meal, but these were really darn close!

Originally Posted By SuperDry I have not stayed at the Palm & Fountain Terrace, but have been part of a group that stayed there and got to see the rooms. They are fairly basic low-amenity hotels. They are the type where you pay your bill entirely when you check in, as there's no way to accumulate charges to your room. No room service, no PPV TV, no charging items to your room, etc. They have onsite food and sundries, and a free shuttle to the parks. Even though they are OLC-owned, they were done outside the scope of the Disney license. So although they have a generic "resort" theme, the only thing that's specifically Disney is the merchandise in the gift shop. You can buy park tickets in the lobby like at other "good neighbor" hotels, but you do not get Early Entry (when offered for Resort Hotels) nor guaranteed admission on sold-out days. The last time I looked, the room rates were extremely reasonable, and it's a fairly good set-up for groups of adult foreigners visiting TDR, as they have rooms with up to 4 single beds, so 4 adults could share a room if they like. BTW, the Sheraton at the resort has those 4-bed rooms as well.

That's so funny you mention that hotel TDLFAN as I was looking at is a potential hotel for our upcoming holiday. I think we will just stay at the Hilton, however, as it's so close and nice! Good to know there's an alternative, however!
