So I guess that's all that matters.

I can't remember what the kid's meal was but she ate it just fine.

A split entree is lost profit, so I am guessing that the plate fee is a way to reover that profit. Anyway, its just a guess.

My husband and I could split a Monte Cristo (I can't eat a whole one) and get our own sides for $23.00. I don't think that's too bad for what you get, and the ambiance. When I get one, I can only eat half, and I don't eat the pasta salad at all. So the split plate thing sounds reasonable to me.

The one thing I do hate about restaurants is waste though, if I know I can't eat one of the side's I try to request them not to include that side. I know it would cut into their profit's but can't disney do "half entree's" as well I know some local restaurants do it, for a slightly reduce price. Ie if it's 19 for a full monte, maybe 16.50 for half a monte, but all the sides. This would reduce waste.

As far as bringing in outside food for your kids goes........ The BB's kids' food is the reason we can't go to BB unless someone is with us to watch our kids. We dined there a few times with our kids. I didn't find their menu kid- friendly at all and my kids always walked away from the meal HUNGRY while my hubby and I grumbled about what we just paid for the tiny portions that couldn't even fill up one of my skinny kids. As we have 5 kids now, bringing in food may be a bit noticable -P)so I wouldn't personally brave the hard looks even my kids would potentially rec'v from patrons who did think it was tacky- BUT if I saw a family next to me serving their kids food brought in I'd probably give them a "good for you!". I agree that Disneyland is a kids' theme park, thus you are much more apt to bring your kids into what they consider a "fine" restaurant (which I guess the BB is really living up to that title as long as they charge $19 for a Monte Cristo, heh heh) than you would bring your kids to a fine restaurant where you live. I simply wouldn't TAKE my kids into a fine restarant where I live. Disneyland's a different story though- or it should be. Bottom line, I think it's probably better to bring in food for [younger]kids then totally be deprived of one of the neatest Disneyland experiences; dining at the BB!

Originally Posted By MsDisney Good heavens! With all the whining, why even GO to BB? I think it's tres tacky to bring PB and J for the kids, and in fact in most states is against health code. Rustling through a backpack and pulling out juice boxes and fritos doesn't exactly improve the atmosphere. And yeah, I'd be at the table next to you glaring because I'm of the crazy notion that kids should be taught to eat what is served them, not complain (since they are NOT paying for the afternoon) and behave while in a restaurant. Popular? Not so much, except with people who believe children should be well behaved so that they grow up to be contributing members of society. But then that's how I was brought up. IF my parents EVER took me to a sit down restaurant we ordered what was offered and I ate it. If I didn't like something, a "no thank you" helping of a few bites was taken. Complain? Not unless I wanted to leave the restaurant right then and there...and yes, that was not a threat but a promise. Personally I'd park the kids with a sitter for the evening, let them order in pizza, and have a romantic evening together. The ambiance of the place is lost on most kids anyhow, or they want to run around because it's "Disneyland" (been there, experienced that).
