DAK's parade might be longer, but the Tapestry of Nations/Dreams worked fine from 1999-2003.

And Tapestry wasn't even Epcot's first parade around the promenade.

I think there were actually 3 copies that ran at the exact same time, so that almost the entire route was covered, but each portion of the parade only went past a few pavillions. Looking at aerial pictures, you can still see the mini-parade barns behind the UK, between Norway and Mexico and next to Germany. This meant that the performers didn't have to do a 5-hour routine, and they didn't need to worry about making the floats small enough to fit on the bridges.

As for actually going the entire route, I've seen it done. When the DCI finals were in Orlando about 6 years ago, we went to Epcot the day before, and they had a couple of the drum corps going around in parade mode. I'm not sure the exact route they took, but we saw one group come through the breezeway next to the Electric Umbrella, go around the far side of SSE around the queue, and head off through the breezeway toward The Land. About 45 minutes later, we saw them coming back toward Future World from near Mexico, which makes me think they did a parade circuit around the entire park. It wasn't the hottest day in the world, but it was pretty warm and sticky, and we were really impressed that they had been out there that long. Then again, DCI folks can make just about anything happen.

It just wasn't exactly safe during windy days.

Were the bridges wide enough to have guests on the sides while the floats went across, or was that area just performers dancing with themselves?

I know, keep on dreaming....We'll be lucky to get just ONE more country to WS in my lifetime.

A few new attractions in WS in the existing pavilions would be nice, too.

    That's comedy gold kids. >>

C'mon, to be fair, they're only 11 pages and 156 posts (this is 2/3rds of the way there)!

But they also have a thread on the MK reaching a phased closing today for all of 90 minutes (in Spring Break, imagine that) ... and Eddie Sotto is hanging around again (can't help but feel that he really wants into WDI again and sees Tron Legacy as a way to resurrect his bike concept from TDL's Sci-Fi City) ... and someone posted something about how WoD is selling some Marvel merchandise now (shocking ... since they sold Marvel merchandise at the giant toy store for years when they did NOT own the brand).

But I don't think they should be made fun of. It's a quality site with some quality folks. I just have no desire to post there any longer.

These boards are the best Disney fan forum out there (with some great peeps)... and aren't dead yet!

    Not impossible, just not happening.

A dumb rumor that was started when someone took 2+2 and got 7 3/4ers and took fire. Most thinking fans can get why ...

Nope. NO more bringing back old parades and passing them off as something new.

And EPCOT has never really needed one ... ToN was wonderful for the time, but the park has far more pressing needs.
