Of all the features the new Fantasyland shows .. a prominent boat could nicely round out all the visual icons that will take shape. And that boat ... be Captain Hooks galley. I think their current plan is to divide the entire project into 2 phases .. with Pixie Hollow as part as "phase 2" to open in 2013 .. with the rest of the plans in 2012. Well .. as far as I see .. I see a chance (hopefully after listening to all the criticisms on the net about the expansions being all too girl-centric) ... that Pixie Hollow could still be a reality .. but a modified version that includes the rest of the Male cast from Tinkerbell's roots. And that being her experiences with the male crowd of Peter Pan, his "lost" friends, Captain Hook, Smee, and Tick-Tock. And a new Peter Pan ride could push itself outside the "pint-size C Ticket" ride it was before .. and be something a bit larger. And if they want to throw something more feminine into the former Peter Pan ride location .. go ahead. But what this addresses .. is the need to bring a little masculine balance/offerings so Disney could say - "Hey everyone, we're not creating one giant girly land, we've expanded the scope of Peter Pan outside it's old home .. to offer something larger and more interactive." So .. if you look at the current plans .... Pixie Hollow is nudged into the top right corner .. heading toward the WDWRR track .. and with a Peter Pan area ... who's to say it can't go partially outside the track .. AKA Disneyland's RR which cuts through Critter Country, and Fantasyland.

At least it's not an idea of my own ... but a property of theirs ... that could be expanded.

Personally, I'd love to have the Nederland themed area dean described above (with the DLP Adventure Isle as its inspiration). My other thought would be a replica of the DL Alice dark ride and a small DL version of Pixie Hollow would work well next to each other. The dark ride entrance could be close to the tea cups while the Pixie Hollow entrance could be located in the opposite end of the plot of land nearer the train station. I’m still 80% okay with the FL re-do. I just think it needs one more solid C ticket dark ride, referable one that appeals to the entire family and not just little girls, to round out the new area’s offering. Hopefully Disney is listening to this early feedback and we’ll see some changes as the project progresses. We are so early into the process that a change like this is still possible.
